His education in the field of music is impressive. Some of his musical works are also related to Istria. However, his childhood years were difficult, sharing the fate of many other exiles \u2013 from sleeping on the floor in reception camps to being belittled by some Italians \u2013 however, there were also touching gestures of support. One of these opened the way for him to study at a conservatoire. Namely, whilst doing a job in Turin for which he was trained through courses for the unemployed, he constantly read music books during his breaks. His supervisor, originally from Sicily, understood what the young Luigi was aspiring to and wrote a letter to the mayor of Turin, explaining what it was all about. And the mayor granted him free study at the conservatoire! During his studies in Siena, his teacher was also from Pazin, Luigi Dallapiccola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"713\" src=\"https:\/\/veze-legami.emi.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/dignano-stazione-ferroviaria-1940_01-1024x713.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-872\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veze-legami.emi.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/dignano-stazione-ferroviaria-1940_01-1024x713.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/veze-legami.emi.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/dignano-stazione-ferroviaria-1940_01-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/veze-legami.emi.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/dignano-stazione-ferroviaria-1940_01-768x535.jpg 768w, https:\/\/veze-legami.emi.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/dignano-stazione-ferroviaria-1940_01-1536x1070.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/veze-legami.emi.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/dignano-stazione-ferroviaria-1940_01.jpg 1822w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was one of the founders of the Vodnjan Society \u2013 <em>Famiglia Dignanese<\/em>, which was founded in Turin in 1967.
